What I might do is make a few MDF rings and mount the subs out and slightly angled to the sides then fiberglass them in. The sides are going to be made out of fiberglass and rounded. The entire trunk will be painted.

lol.. I put the lip on hold until I find a good plastic to use. The fiberglass is getting to heavy. I have been calling numerous places in my area to find a 1/2" thick plastic that is tough and not flexible. Once I find some, its a matter of cutting, wrapping in CF and then mounting it.

Bought some new 3D carbon fiber vinyl from ebay for ****s and giggles. The stuff looks pretty good. I decided to apply it to the wood trim, but had some difficulties since this decal is not stretchable.
Also bought a new filter for the slr. Cross star 8 point. It creates a multicolored 8 pointed star from every light source.

Made a lot of progress in the front lip today. I was able to find a marina who had 1/4 starboard. It is 90 % finished. Just have to sand the edges to have a flawless finish then just have to bolt it up.
