Noise when braking
Hi guys,
i have an automatic C-class from 2006 and i cant get rid of this noise in the front wheels when im braking. ( the car is only 14.000 miles)
the noise appears when i brake somewhat hard but not hard enought for the ABS to kick in and just close to the moment when the car stops.
i went to the mercedes dealer and they did some "cleaning" but after a few hours the noise is back. is a rather deep noise (not really the standard type of noise from used brakes or so...)
anybody has any ideas?
PS. i dont know if this has anything to do with the noise but after testing the brakes for like 30 minutes when i stopped the front wings of the car are seriously warm. is that because of the xenon lights and i havent noticed it before ?
thx a lot for the help!
Alin

What kind of tires are you running?
When I had BFGoodrich KDW-2s on the car, every time I slowed, it sounded like a bad wheel bearing. Changing back to Michelins resolved the problem completely.
A description of the sound would help people to help you.
