2002 C230 Coupe Grille Removal
Does anyone know the steps to remove the grille on a 2002 C230 coupe? I have a few chips on it and I want to take it off and repaint it. I looked at it briefly but it looks harder than I thought. Also....are there any sites that have aftermarket ones that are cheap? Its hard to find a grille for the c230 coupe, apparently it is different then the regular c230. Everytime I search for one and find it, it says that it will not work on the coupe. hopefully someone can help! Thanks.

If I recall correctly, there are two center screws and a few plastic snap clips on the sides (might be 1 or 2 each side)...
Here's how I did mine....

Taking the grill of is pretty self explanatory.
As far as those plastic rivets go, just pry the center part out, and the rest pulls right out.
They look nice painted black, especially with tinted windows.

C230 KOMPRESSOR (2003)
I did this work like last week, read my post abt the grill removal..
there are 2 screws up on top which are very obvious, then there are 2 more on the sides, and there are 2 clips on the sides as well....now the tricky part is the bottom one....
if u take a flsh light and look at the bottom center u will notice a black clip.....if u look more closely u will notice that there is another circular thing in the middle of the clip facing the radiator....thats actually the head of the nasty screw....now take a flat head and justpry it out ....it wil come out towards the radiator...once thats out it will just come right off
