Anyone ever replace a turn signal switch before?

Anyone ever replace a turn signal switch before?

I have to do mine this weekend, and the new one comes with a little red key stopper that goes in the Steering Position Sensor. (?)

Is this the whole stalk, switches and all? My first one was replaced under warranty because it was getting hard to activate and now my second one is getting harder to push. Please share your experience, I think this is a common problem that gets overlooked because it works if you push hard enough.

It's actually just a switch.

How did it go (other than the ESP/SRS faults)? What did you have to remove to get to it?

It was actually very straightforward - a few Torx screws here and there and the rest was just careful removal of stuff by hand. Everything just sort of stacks together and connects with various pin-and-socket connectors.

There are three bolts in the front holding the wheel position sensor on, then one T-27 holding the collar clamp on the switch itself, then the plastic molded column trim bolts to the backside of the switch with three small Torx screws.

I could do one in a half hour, easily.
