Sapayeeda's Thread
Hi ev,
since I've been around long enough without posting my baby's pix, (spent most of the time stff/reading. Many thx to those who did the sticky thing. I tried to get good pix but didn't know where to take them. My first try of shoot.
Now it's time to look at my baby...
Here is the C300 loaner today side by side front comparison:
The engine of c300 ... Big! but no much room for pully upgrade...
Here is my cousin's GL550.

Gee I really like that color
Pulley on the C300?
He he....uh, you know thats a normally aspirated engine, right?
If anything a smaller crankshaft pulley to underdrive the accessories would
get some more power, not the other way around.
The C300 is a nice car, a buddy of mine just bought one.
The car I like though these days is the Audi A5, but it's at least
10 grand more expensive, but comes with everything stock.
C300 is an absolute bargain at starting 30K considering the dollar the way it is. Of course, we all know, they'll expect to make their money on the
repairs.
Free maint. was a major selling point for me, it'd suck to have to pay,
I'd never take the car in, and never get all the free stuff I've gotten.
Is this from the Arden&Howe dealer?

Do you mean the highschool?
was the GL... Am I? guess what If I dare say... who isn't on this forum? lol.
That's right! It was hard to get him still! lol
Thx guys.
Yes it is but I don't really like this dealer... no much of a choice.
The one thing I like on the new c is the suspension, it's amazing! but I'd go 350 instead!
What you're sain is the underdrive will get more power for a higher rev at the same speed? Im getting confused lol.

Confusion say:
So, on the Supercharged cars, you want to turn the SC faster to increase boost. This can be accomplished in one of 2 ways.
Either make the SC pulley smaller (but ours it hard to get at, and could slip)
or make a larger crank pulley, which is what I got.
Now on a normal aspirated car, the accessories (alt, air cond, power steering etc) can be spun more slowly, thus taking power away from said accessories and putting the power to the wheels.
Got it?
Often you'll see kits, like Evosport has for the 3.2 / 6 that include larger pulley's for each accessory, but a smaller crank pulley could accomplish the same thing.
Yeh, the suspension got progressively better on the W203 as time went on.
Unfortunately the CL203 in 2002 had a crap suspension.
But you can easily remedy that for as little as 400 in parts.
(200 AMG sways, and 200 for springs) Thats what I started with, and it made all the difference as fas as handling.
Even the 2005 sedan handles better, and the 2005 coupe also supposedly had improved, though I never drove one.
All the problems people have with the M271, makes me glad to have the tried and true M111, 2.3.

Well I'm super happy with the H&R coils!!
the asp pully that I was lookin for is out of stock...
If still available that would be next fall + maybe headers.

Lil update!
I got some spare time so I decided to play around with my grill.
I kind of like it but not sure if I should leave it or go for plain black vinyl or even blue... mmm not blue.
So what do you guys think ?
