OK, No Supersprint Header

So now what??? I am new to the Forum and a new C230K M111 Owner. I am not new at modifying cars tho. I called Supersprint yesterday and found out that the header is discontinued, guess I am 2 yrs toooooo late. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Already have the Iridium Spark Plugs, ASP Pulley and belt, 10k HID Hi-Beam and 8k HID Lo-Beam, Bellon Voltage Charging Unit, Cool Air Intake(Custom) and a Muffler. Parts are not installed yet Just got them in today. Maybe this weekend they will get done, but I want a header prior to installing the Muffler, so I can also do mendrel bent piping.

Again if you know of another header please let me know. Thanx.

Oh also looking for intake and exhaust cams, Called Renntech, they refuse to work with 2002 C230K's cuz of the unreliable Supercharger.

Unreliable Supercharger? What in the world are they talking about? Our M111 engine has an Eaton M45 supercharger that is a workhorse of reliability and ouptut.

Good luck getting a supersprint muffler. I don't think it is likely that you can source one, unless you get it used.

The supercharger is very reliable, and Renntech has worked on the M111 for years. I wonder why they'd trash it like that.

Kleemann may have a header (I forget if they do or not) - otherwise, you're probably f*cked.

Great that's exactly what I wanted to hear, lmao. I think I found one on ebay, but not sure if it is a performance header or a stock header. Poop, lmao.

What about Cams???

Just picked up the Eibach Pro Kit Lower Springs, starting to get parts just need them to get here so I can get them on, lmao

Neil, take a look at your stock header. This is a cast part, with high production seems. The Supersprint header is Mandrel bent with curves like your prom dates hips and cleavage. Trust me. If you look at the header and it doesn't look sexy, it isn't a Supersprint.

Ed,

Found a Supersprint header on ebay, i think i am getting lucky, or up for a disaster.

Also picked up driver and pass window visors, Eibach Sway Bar kit Front and Rear, Magnaflow Hi-Flow Cat, Tail light blacked-out, Headlights Blacked-out.

Looks to me all I need is a cam and lift kit and an ecu reprogram, and to install all the parts I just bought.

The only cam I know of is the Schrick. Along with the ECU flash, I don't know of any M111 guy who has a cam and a flash. The idea is good, but really no data exists that I know of. Blackout lights... not a fan.

The company that used to do flashes is ironically Renntech. But they stopped selling them. The cams, are again, an unkown.

Lets keep in touch as you do your build.

I will keep in touch, this forum has been very helpful. I just had to have patience to find what i was looking for. I ended up reading alot of stuff that did not pertain to my build but interesting all the same. I did see something that seemed to fall off the end of the forum and that is the resistor/potentiometer idea on a harness, but again it fell off the forum an looked like someone was well fibbing to say it lightly, is that about right???

Any ideas how big I can go with wheels and tires??? I was looking at 18x9 1/2 rears and 18x9 in the front, with my experience I believe they will fit, but if I can larger I would, like a 18x10 in the rear.

Neil

I THINK that I have seen someone here put in 10's with fender rolling.

To me, that seems to be a lot of unsprung weight you'd be adding for not much performance gain. But it's your car.

Ummm....I don't see any supersprint headers on the US ebay site...
hope you didn't buy one of the cheap ones. There's these ones that aren't for our cars they keep trying to pass of for like 100 bucks.

These are such a tease! http://www.supersprint.com/en/prod-1...280BA__02.aspx

I emailed them to see if they could put it back in production if we get a group buy going. I said if we get 5 or more. It's a shot that is way long. Would anyone else jump in on the Supersprint headers?
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Email Response from SS

Buon giorno.

We thank you for your inquiry.
Yes, we could put these headers back into production.
The minimum q.ty required on each discontinued item is 10 piece.
Please let us know if you and your friends can put together a group buy, and possibly place an order.

Awaiting for your news.

Best Regards

Weren't they like 1200-1300 back in the day? I'd imagine they'd still be around that price if they were to produce them again.

I'm unclear what you are implying. But since you know more about California politics than me, I'll pretend to be afraid of your superior intellect.

I didn't take them off an aluminum can, I bought them new and installed them.

Good luck in your search.
