NOT THE SEAT MODULE?!?! anyone else?

So i have been having issues with my battery completely draining when not be started up for 5 days at a time. I dorm in the bronx and my house is in queens.
The past three weekends my car has been dead by the time i came home.

I assumed it was one or both of my seat modules draining the battery. After recharging the original battery, it happened agian the following weekend. So then i changed the battery and left the seatmodules unplugged. Once again, the car is dead.

Can something else be draining the battery? Anyone else have this problem and it wasnt the seat module causing it?

When i called triple AAA teh first time it happened, the man came to jump my car and said it was probably a faulty starter. After i read stories in the forums, i assumed it was the seat modules. But maybe he is right after all.

Any other suggestions? I am not too informed when it comes to issues like this, so any ideas will be appreciated. When i finally find out the problem i will let you all know.

Well, typically its either the seat modules or the overhead light module. (both happened to me)

There was a pretty good write up somewhere around the forum that had current draws on the equipment, if you wanted to attempt a diy.

They have the overhead modules on ebay for about $115

it could be a rear SAM module as well which is more common than a overhead module.

Well, I had the same problem, only thing was, my passenger side seat module was drawing current, IN ADDITION to my COMMAND system...the CD would keep spinning

But I fixed it by installing a relay switch on the fuse for it...cheap, good fix, as i'm not about to dish out 6g's for a new COMMAND.

Best of luck man, these annoying electrical problems often make me wanna get rid of all of my mercedes'....but then I get those looks from the girls and I love my benz again!
