Thanks for the help, but I did see a M-B newspaper ad for the 2003 C 240 Classic for 39,950. It must have had the automatic box, though the ad did not specify. I assumed that it was yet another price rise. I wish the C 200 K was available here, at maybe $34,000 or less. Maybe if the Euro keeps rising, it'll come to that...

Anyway, the M-B Canada website is often so woefully out of date that I woundn't put too much stock in its pronouncements

I haven't noticed the MB Canada Website being out of date. Anything in particular you've noticed?

Nothing surprising: no C320 coupe, no C230K sedan. Not even the "What's new" section has a hint of them. But given the time it took to switch over from the 2002 to 2003 models we should be able to see them in, say, a couple of months or so.
