help - possible to put a 2005+ command unit radio into a 2003 coup ?

EDIT: i didnt mean the command unit with navigation i am just wanting to put the cd changer 05+ that I linked to above. is this possible?

OEM Used Mercedes Benz 2005 C Class C55 in-dash AM FM Radio CD Player with telephone on.
Part# A 203 827 3942

Model# MF2531

i want to put the newer in dash cd changer type radio in my coup but they say for 2005+ and i have 2003 coupe. has anyone done this before? advise please.

Long answer, if you want to spend a lot and have many parts replaced then it could be done. But pretty much don't do it. You can find many w203 pre-05 commands that fit your car on ebay.

1) Thats not a comand. Comand is the type with navigation and the full color screen.
2) Sunil has done it. It probably cost $1000's to change the car from D2B to MOST, not to mention the time it took.

the doors are the same, all the console pieces are different. Even the ash tray cover. Looks the same, but it's different.

just because Sunil has done it dosen't mean us mere mortals could possibly convert a car from D2B to MOST.

Still a NO unless you spend the major dollars to convert to a MOST system...you would be better off upgrading to a COMAND system for a pre-MOST system.

oh, i was talking about hte trim pieces that go around the switch row/headunit/etc.

Well, for the CD changer, it still requires a MOST system. The CD changer is located in glove box. At least for the 2004.5+ C-class.
