Bringing a 2009 CLC Coupe to the USA?
Wife and I are tentatively planning avacation in Europe in 2009. So, once I'm already there, how hard would it be to legally bring back a CLC?

As a related side note, I talked to my colleague at MBUSA and there are no plans to bring in any more C coupes in the foreseeable future. Talking to him, it was Daimler AG who forced the coupe on the US
As for degree of difficulty, I'd imagine if you threw enough money at it, you'd get it here.

Of hell's seven circles, bringing in a non-USA spec car ranks about nine. It starts with emissions -no matter whether it really is clean enough, but only that the Feds haven't gotten their pound of flesh for its coming here- and goes on through signal lenses and window glass.
I'd not realized any M-B cars had been "forced" on us since Max Hoffman brought about the original 190.
If you wind up in Brazil, you may find it troublesome to remember why you wanted to come back here.

What success here??? If we get it here - and he buys it here, will it be US certified, or will he have similar problems, that we are having bringing a MB into Canada from the US???
