How do you replace the bulb for the light inside the trunk

How do you replace the bulb for the light inside the trunk
I have searched far and wide for instructions on doing this but the closest i got was instructions to replace the license plate bulbs.
On one of the on-line forums, someone suggested using a flathead screwdriver to pry the whole assembly off. I tried doing this from the left and right side of the assembly but it just seemed to come out only slightly out of the enclosure. Worst off, the housing now became loose and rattled around after doing this which meant that I was doing it wrong. Any help will be appreciated.

Bring this old thread up. I tried to remove the len by pushing it from left to right and it tilted a little bit down but still cannot remove the housing. My fingers are hurt.
What is the best way to take off the len? What is the length of that festoon bulb?
