C230 coupe, nothing special :)
C230 Coupe Drilled rotors

Well, K1 motor sports is offering drilled rotors for $99 each. And Autozone has oem for $66 each. Anyone have any experience with this? Drilled rotors decreses the break surface kinda makes me worry if i need to pay the extra $40 per rotor. I mean sure with the rotors drilled the breakdust decreases. But do I really need that on a 200hp c coupe?

For front rotors, if you want OEM Zimmermans, I looked up the part number 2034210312 via autohausaz.com http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro.../Brake%20Rotor

and then did a search on trademotion mercedes of ft lauderdale and got them for $46.80 a pop

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...&siteid=214089

for rear rotors since most of your stopping power comes from the front and the rear brake pad is tiny I'd just go with the balo's off autohausaz or autozone's $35 rotors.

I guess this doesn't really address your question but I figured I'd share my purchases.

If you want increased brake performance, get larger rotors and calipers. If you're worried about dust, go ceramic pads!

Drilled rotors ventilate better. The holes do nothing to pad wear, nor dust creation. Brakes work by transferring kinetic energy to heat, which is then dissipated to the surrounding metal and then the air. Grooving of brake rotor surfaces was begun to carry off early disc brakes' tendency to create a layer of gas on the surface of the pads, which could actually float them from the disc surface and interfere with heat transfer. The grooves would provide a channel for the gas to escape. Cross-drilling was done to increase the surface area of the discs, and their ability to shed heat. Both methods have the benefit of decreasing the time it takes for the pads and rotors to shed water in rain conditions (not much in the motoring world matches the first wet-weather stop in a Datsun with brand-new American Libra wheels, which let water get to the discs, and demonstrate what a marvelous lubricant it is). Cross-drilling a vented rotor gives the cooling air more places to escape from, and allows more to circulate.
The "styling" of drilling/grooving/etc. was a circumstance, not a goal.

a C32 AMG & S-Works Tarmac
Just an FYI on a thread from last week on the C32 forum. https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c55-amg-w203/243531-anyone-running-these-rear-rotors.html

I picked up some sweet cross drilled & slotted rotors for a killer price (for high performance rotors).
