Taking delivery this week...suggestions?
My car is finally in and I plan to pick it up Thursday or Friday of this week. So far, I've asked the dealer to leave off the front license plate bracket (and yes, I'm familiar with the law in Texas but am willing to take the risk) and leave off the Park Place (dealership) badge normally applied to the right side of the trunk/boot lid.
Does anyone have other suggestions as far as delivery instructions/dealer requests? Anything I should be looking out for?

For me, the dealer badge is the biggest thing. And that "Park Place" badge is nasty IMO. A lot of people also ask that the dealer not detail the car in fear that they will create swirl marks. If you do want them to detail it, take a look at the finish and make sure that it looks right, especially if you are getting a dark color. I got my car at Ewing in Plano, and I had them detail the car before I picked it up. It looked pretty good, but I still took it home and clayed it, and applied some zaino (see details forum for info on zaino).

advice
Look the vehicle over very carefully before you sign for it. In our case, we discovered a small ding on the hood, which was rectified on the spot. If we had taken delivery before seeing it, it would have been on us...

Yes - take delivery during the DAY!!! And in a well lit place so you can look at body/colour variation, dins.... BOTH in and out side. And DO go thru the list with all the options you ordered and ASSUMED.
Mine came w/o the TELEAID that I assumed to be there as negotiated. Take you time NO RUSH
ohhh.. MAKR SURE the license plates are screwed at all 4 corners instead of just the upper 2. Making so much clanking noise went you close the trunk... dont laugh. You will thank me later
And see if you can wait for 2 week before the first posting

Ugh!! My car still isn't here. Dealer says it was put on a truck yesterday and should be here by Tuesday at the latest. I've been pretty patient over the last two months, but the wait now is antagonizing!
