Car is awesome, question is where did you order the vinyl from and how many feet did it take to do all of the molding pieces? Did you use the tape on the molding as well to secure the vinyl?

Thanks. It's just a self-adhesive carbon effect vinyl that comes in sheets. I should imagine it's more readily available in USA than in UK. 1 sheet was used to cover the grille, and the other sheet was cut into strips, pattern matched and joined, then tucked and stuck behind the molding. The waterproof duck tape was used behind the grille just as a precaution due to the heat from the radiator, and water dripping off the bonnet onto grille when it rains, as i did not want the vinyl lifting while stationary or at speed. As a further secondary precaution to ensure waterproof and sealing, and give a more glossy CF appearance i covered the grille and moldings with 2 coats of clear lacquer. It has rained constantly for the past 3 day's today being the first dry day, and on inspection it is performing well, no lifts or water entrance. Really happy with the hard work and the end results.

Yep I tried the c/f.......lets never speak of this again lol! I admire your patients and attention to detail. Mine is in the process of being painted black...if the vinyl ever comes off lol. Popped some on the pillars too, bit rough but has potential, I will order some off ebay pre done!

Any word on your rims?

Sorry to hear about your CF probs. Did you use a hot hair dryer to stretch the vinyl prior to cutting? It does take a lot of time and patience in my case 16 hrs. I could have done the pillars but as you say they already have nice lacquered ones on ebays.

My wheels should be ready by Friday, so will get the tyres swopped over Friday afternoon or first thing Saturday morning and will post pics, but did manage to black gloss my quad exhaust tips and i am really pleased with the result - no more chrome to clean.
