What makes the 230K engine sound like an underwater lawnmower?
The exhaust sound at cold startup is pretty weird, but it's just generally an odd-sounding engine. I have even seen that noted in magazines.
Anyone know why?

the alternative
I would much rather my car sounds like an "underwater lawnmower" than a bumble bee with one of those "fart cans" that all the imports have. I actually like the sounds of my car when I get on it. When you consider the alternative sound its not so bad now is it?!
