Best alignment specs?
I'm going to get an alignment shortly, after I install my new springs. Since the car will be slightly lower, and I'm using a staggered tire setup (225/45 and 245/40 on 17x8 and 17x9), I'm curious if anyone has determined if there are optimal settings for "sporty" driving that are outside what M-B specifies. I'd like nice turn-in, but don't want to lose my straight-line stability and don't want to make tramlining any worse than it is now.
Anyone have some numbers that they've used and like?

drive it for a bit w/o having it realigned once you get it lowered. keep an eye on tire wear. truthfully- i like the way mine handles w/o changing anything after i installed the shocks/springs. just something to think about- might save you a little cash too.

I'll gladly spend the money on a good alignment, rather than drive for 5000 miles only to find that my tires are wearing funny. Alignment issues can be subtle - the numbers might be out but the car doesn't do anything out of the ordinary...

I went and got new tires at Tiresplus and afterwards, the car started pulling to the right. They said it need an alignment but that they did not have the specs and that i needed to take it to Mercedes. Sounded like BS to me. So basically what i'm saying is, don't go to Tiresplus.

yeah i would definately get a aligntment right away. factory setting is the best compromise between handling and longevity of the tires.
if you want a better turn, you can go with more aggressive toe settings, but it will eat at your tire.
