all C-class wheels are interchangable except the 16". if you have the 17 and up wheels that already will clear the big caliper from the sport sedans they will fit on all other.

Your lug studs are probably too long. That same thing happened to me when I put on my e63 reps with +35 offset. I could not use my stock lug studs. I had to get the wheel stud and lug nut kit for mercedes. Those wheels are +37 front and +34 rear, right?

He had the 16" and he's trying to install the 17".

From what he said it sounds like he needs spacers. He says the rears wont work, but the fronts are ok.

He didnt mention anything about the studs being too long.

He thinks that the rears are touching the brakes. So I assume just a spacer would work.

The 17s are these, and I thought that all 4 were identical.

those 17" work on any W203 C-class.

the bolts are too long on your friend's car. get shorter bolts. there's nothing more to it.

you can do it yourself if you want, i think. you should search it up, as i don't remember the exact thread/post. if it remember right, it went something like this:

stick the lug bolt in the old wheel and measure how much the bolt protrudes from the wheel. then stick the lug into the new wheel and measure how much the bolt protrudes. then do the math and cut off the extra length.
