My gas sipping C-Class
I thought I saw a lot of Honda/Acura pics posted. Anyways, my point is that there's a very noticeable difference in how my car drives compared to the Japanese cars I've owned and driven, with exception to the Infinity Q45 I onc owned. German engineering feels different from Japanese, even compared to some of the higher end luxo models.

there's different strokes for different folks. whatever car makes you have an car-gasm, might not be the car for other people. i love both EDM and JDM cars, but if i had to choose a single specific car, it wouldn't be from europe.

My first car was a 76' Pontiac Trans Am - which i took to highschool everyday (summer and winter) that thing was LOUD to say the least....even louder when the exhaust rusted and fell off.
Now i drive an 03' c240 - totally different ride. Drives like a cloud compared to the Trans Am, plus i dont get the gas fumes or the heat from the Benz like i did with the Pontiac

Before I bought my 2001 C240, I drove a 1981 Buick Regal bought new until it was donated in 2001 after 20 years of basic transportation. I also bought a 1990 Honda Civic EX and my mother and I bought a 1990 Toyota Celica ST both new.
I still use the Civic and Celica as beaters to commute to work. I like all the cars I have own so far. Generally I will try to keep a car at least 20 years with about 4000 miles per year per car.
I think each brand of car has it's own unique feel and advantages. I like MBWorld because, in general most posters here respect others peoples brand of car. At some sites like GMInsider, and probably a lot more I do not know about you have some posters that are really haters of import cars especially, Japanese cars. A very pathetic ,insecure, and even funny and entertaining group. If they use their energies more creatively maybe the companies they work for wouldn't be in such financial hard times.

yes Tommy, I have s4gasms. hahaha but I like both German and Japanese. To me, their advantages and disadvantages almost equal out, but I'd take German any day.

Hi guys .. i'm fairly new to this thread thing .. but i hope you guys can help . i came across a set of rims (jaz ver one 19's staggered ) i have a c32 , i installed the rears and they seem to rub and also lug nuts are to long and won't allow the rear tire to spin , i figured i put spacer, easy fix ? right? well the front i believe i was going to have less of an issue , but i was wrong; everything clears but front tire hit's bottom of the base of the spring , rear tires are 275-45-19, and fronts are 245-40-19 , how will i go in fixing this issue lower profile tire? spacers? any one with similar issues here?
ps: i also retrofitted the m3 bmw projectors on my c32 check out my face book for pics Dnight07@gmail.com

I didn't grow up with any kind of money.. Like some members on here.. My first car was a piece of **** 92 ford escort wagon LX white!.. boy how embarrassed i was to even be seen in a car like that..
I started working pretty hard 7-5 everyday 6 days a week..
My friend always drove his dads Mercedes to work.. after i road in it the first time my mind was already set.. When i was looking to buy my first car it was pretty hard no places wanted to give me loans on the cars i wanted.. The only place that would give me a loan is the place were i got my car at.. So I'm kinda lucky i went through like 20 different places to try to get a loan.. but at the age of 19 with a credit score of 743 still didn't matter. I had alot of medical debit.
Anyways Its nice to own a Mercedes.. If i knew about this website before i bought my car.. I'm sure i would either be sitting in a C32 or a CLK500 or a Cl500.
Honestly ppl can bash the C320 and Pre models.. But being at my age and having everything in my name. Is just feels like i accomplished something.. Hehe

1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
I started off driving my mom's 2006 Accord EX when I turned 16. It was a good car for me to start with: not too much power, and front wheel drive so I couldn't do anything too stupid.
At 17 I got my 1999 CLK 320 as a hand-me-down from my dad. It had 198,000ish miles on it when I got it (my dad bought it new).

I sold it for $5,000 a year ago with 232,000+ miles on it. It was the best car I have owned (or driven, and I've had the privilege to drive quite a few nice cars).
To krisv, there are some great things that you can do with older cars. My good friend has a '93 Escort 1.9L 2dr, and he has done alot with it. It may not be to the tastes of some, but it's a fun little car.

Same with the CLK. It was the original windshield, and had two major chips. The paint-job was done by Maaco when the car was in an accident 3 months before I got it. It was originally the lavender-ish color that they had for the CLKs.

I actually like the look of your tail lights, Drew. You should change your signature to reflect the correct "tails" word, though. ![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
