"Rear fog light error messages" on LED S Class Taillights??????
I just traded for a 6 pin Eagle Eyes S Class taillights that have been smoked. Now when I pluged them into my 2004 C230 Sport Sedan there was two ERROR MESSAGESS!!!!
"Rear Fog Light Bulb Error"
and
"Rear Light Bulb error problem" or something like that (already took them off)
I need to know what the problem is, I traded them because they have the 6 pin female connector that fits my 2004 C 230 Sedan. I didn't want to cut or rewire anything. So now I am confussed, I know I can prob take them to the shop and get my mechanic to cancel the error message but then I am wondering if everytime I start the car will there be the two error message?
Any advice or info would help out alot,
Thanks Guys,
Cheers

If it came on when you enabled the rear foglight (2 pulls on the light switch), then next question would be, have you tried replacing the bulb?

Well I only hooked them up for two minutes to test them out, and they came on right away when I started the car....
It also stayed on when I put the fog lights on.....

However, error msg showed up when I plugged the original lights back. I didnt tell you this because it was the original taillights that caused the error. It went away after taking the keys out from inigtion, switch the lights to off then replugged the taillights.
Let me know if this help.

All I could think is that you didn't fully press the male and female connectors together. Make sure the connection is solid.
