Does White look better than Orion Blue?!?!
Ok, I'm going through a bit of a crisis here. My brother rolled into my house yesterday in his brand new 2002 White Nissan Altima, which looked pretty damn good in white! And Then I come into this forum and I see this topic: https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...&threadid=2434 , that white C-coupe looks REALLY good! A little TOO good because I ordered an Orion Blue! Should I change my order?!?! Yikes!! And that white doesn't even have an aluminum paint charge. What is a future c-coupe owner to do? Opinions please! I'd particularly like input from owners of Orion Blue c-coupes who see those white pictures.

My white 230K is coming next month. I've always been of the opinion that white makes inexpensive cars look cheaper. For some reason, white makes MBs (and dare I say BMWs) look more elegant. A $640 price difference sealed the deal for me. I'm glad that everyone's white C230s look so good; I ordered it sight unseen. Orion Blue, though, was a very close second.

After seeing the pictures of the white I really liked it, even more without the roof. For the difference in price I think it is worth it. If I could change things now I would.

Never and its tough to keep looking clean, don't be cheap! Orion suits this car so does the Citron and the Paprika IMO. Silver is nice and easiest to keep looking good but not on this car- it needs something less boring.

The Orion is the first blue in a while that would tempt me. I'm not a fan of blue in general, and the few cars I've had in blue were fraught with accidents... I read somewhere that blue was a hard color to see in certain lighting conditions.
White, on the other hand, is statistically the most popular color for all cars, although it would look quite distinctive on the Coupe. I especially like the shiny C7 wheels with white, and dark window tinting would look very nice with the Panorama roof (a gotta have, IMO). For some reason, MB white looks "brighter" to me than white on other cars. Not boring at all.
White is infinitely easier to care for than any darker color. If I didn't already have two white cars in my garage, I would have gotten White/Java with my sedan. Too bad they don't offer the Java with the white Coupe (sans the stupid Spec. Order charge).

A study among men was done in the late 1980's about car colors and how they relate to the most popular colored lingerie of any particular year.
White, Champaigne and Teal (in that order) were the most popular colors listed in that study....according to Esquire magazine
(this is factual information, however trivial it may be)

I said silver was boring not white, although now that you mention it! Silver is darker than white agreed? Silver shows dirt the least bob- a dirty white car looks horrid IMO, while silver not so much or even a not so dark red or blue. Its purely subjective and stupid to bicker- but I just think white is kinda boring/gay.

Please dude, the nature of the thread is jr. high and purely opinionated. HINT: just don't click on it if you feel its beneath you.:p Fact: white IS hard to keep clean and looks like hell after it rains- black dirt streaks! I would never own a white car period but you can get whatever you want its just MO so bite me.

Personally I have had many white cars and find you can leave it for weeks and as long as you don't touch it, it looks clean. White stays cooler in the summer and the white coupe looks awesome.

Why is that everything I say on this forum is wrong? I'm sorry if I offended anyone about the stupid gay comment- it didn't mean that you're gay if own a white car just like the ricer comments it wasn't meant as a blow(no pun intended) to any particular sexual orientation. My comments should be taken with a grain of salt anyway because I'm weird, always right, and have a jr. high mentality according to you so just chill why don'tcha?
Peace.
Peace.

I've had a white car for 15 years and still like the color. I've taken good car of it and it still looks clean after all these years. The only reason I'm going for brilliant silver is that it's easy to keep clean, and silver is the ultimate classic Mercedes color imho. Good luck in your decision.

STICK WITH THE BLUE!
My C230K is my 2nd consecutive white vehicle.
As stated accurately above, the white is:
Easier to maintain
Cheaper by 7 c-notes
Safer (much better visibility in almost all conditions--the exception being a blizzard)
Cooler in heat
Easier to sell (i.e. more popular)
But...
Get the Blue! It's beautiful and much more distinctive on a Benz...and I don't want everyone buying white!

I've been to Texas Bob, you wouldn't have offended me even if you were serious!
But don't dis New York- now is clearly not the time and yes I love NY maybe not NYC as I grew up riding motocross on 5+ acres. But my work (financials) pretty much dictates that I be close to the city. Westchester is nice- just wish I could afford to join one of its many posh CCs- the likes of Winged Foot, Sleepy Hollow, Quaker Ridge. Oh well, doubt I'll ever be willing to drop that kind of cash on golf even if I could.

Now you're talking, zimmer. You worse day on the golf course trumps your best day in the office!
Boy, the forums have been lively, this morning. I think it has to do with a lack of topics and some pent-up anxiety (everyone's, mine included.) Have fun.

Maybe some golf withdrawl on my part, but the skiing is great in VT and makes up for it - almost!
And yes my worst day on the course however frustrating is better than here- especially if its a weekday and I'm getting paid!!
Thanks for being a ray of sunshine on an otherwise ugly thread Bob. I'm really not a scumbag, and BTW I'm a full-fledged member now everyone so hows about a little congrats, respect, a hand shake, something huh or is that only for the big shots of the board?

Speaking of colors, I saw a Citron Green coupe in San Francisco on Saturday. I didn't think it looked as good in person as it does in the pictures on the MB web-site. It had more of a yellowish tinge than the greenish one in the pictures. My friend dismissed it as being pistachio colored. I wouldn't recommend ordering it sight unseen.
My car's will be painted "boring", funny I thought it was supposed to be "brilliant", silver
- more to identify with MB's racing heritage (I guess the leather seats, rather than the exterior color, appeal more to my tastes in women's lingerie
- whoops, did I just say that out loud?).

My dealer has the "Citron Green" coupe in the showroom. It looks nice, but it kind of reminds me too much of the VW bug (Color). Maybe if they added a flower.....
