New c320 Key. How to program? Help please!
Hi everyone. I recently lost my 2001 c320 key remote. I am planning to get one from ebay. I just contacted mercedes benz for programing it and they told me that that key does not need programing, but it would cost me $200 just to buy it. If I was to buy the key remote from ebay (around $40), what is the cheapest way to program it? Any help would be appreciated.

Dealers charge a lot for smartkeys,. Ask anyone who drives a Prius. Mercedes isn't the only car maker to charge so much.
I just got a replacement for $230 including the laser cut door key, and I'm happy to have it.
Give the parts desk your VIN and the money, and you'll have your key the following day.

For the brand new key that just came out the "new style key" i should say.. Dealer told me 165$ programmed for my car. How it works is the dealer uses your vin number to program the key.

Maybe call another dealer in the area, if there is one, and see if you can get a better price. When i needed spare i called two dealerships and got two prices. You should've been around about a year ago when you could've ordered a smartkey from oempartsdirect.com for $60.

A few months ago I had my key replaced under warranty as it unlocked the car but wouldn't unlock the ignition... but anyways they gave me the new style key as I was told the don't make the old smartkey anymore... so it seems thats no longer a choice!
