Puddle light wiring question

I searched but couldnt find anything..
so here is my noob question

Is there a wire that I can attach the puddle lights to that does these-->

1. When the door opens the light goes on
2. The lights shut 15 secs (or whatever the time the setting is) after the door is shut
3. When you turn on the interior dome light manually, the puddle lights will not go on

hmm, it seems that most people use the interior dome light, so number 3 would be hard to do. i personally used the rear dome light, so that it lights up when the car is unlocked and locked. and then you would be able to use the dome light without turning hte puddle lights on.

But with this setup, would the puddle lights be turned on when only the front doors are opened? I know that the rear dome light won't light up in that case.

It will light up if you have the dome light set to come on when the door is open. I used the Mercedes retrofit instructions and it said to connect to the rear dome light. Turns on when you unlock with the remote, when you open the doors (dome light has to be set to come on with the doors) and when you turn on the rear dome light. It also fades out after you close the door.
