Odd issue. car shutters at idle sometimes

Well my car has been acting a little odd. When im at a stop light the car will idle at like 600RPMS and i will see it move down to around 500 and back up to 700 ISH. And it will start to Shutter it doesn't do this everyday it just does it sometimes. I plan to do an OIL change in the next week. I hope this fixes something.

I Bought my car used and i don't know any service info before my car.
So i don't know when the oil was changed last or anything done to the car.
I was thinking about buying new air filters and oil filter with oil change.

If anyone else has this issue at idle were there car shutters and shakes please help me.. this is very annoying i just hope its something cheap and not a bazillion dollars.

I've seen people complain about this at the dealership, and the MB techs just reprogrammed their ECU or something, and the shaking at idle went away. I'm pretty sure it was covered under warranty.

I was also reading that someone fixed there prob by getting the ECU reporgrammed.. as my car is no longer in warranty i will have to fork out the cash. Any idea how much it would cost? or a better idea is for me to call the local dealer and check.. ill keep you guys updated

shop around between HOEHN Mercedes and MB of Escondido and MB of San Diego. An ECU reprogramming doesn't take that long, and they shouldn't charge tons of labor hours.

Are you an MBCA member? HOEHN gives discounts to MBCA members.
