That seems like old information on the incentive prices. Those are all for '02 models. Either that is from months ago, or that is for left over '02, but there shouldn't be many of those out there. My dealer has no '02's in any model left, hasn't for months.
I don't think there is any official information yet on which cars are going to get the 350 engine. The ML has it now. Maybe this is a test vehicle to see how the engine does. But if you were planning on getting a 320, I would continue with your order. I can't tell any difference in power with the ML350 over the ML320. The difference is like 15hp, but it is not noticeable. It might be more noticeable in a C, but the 320 is really all you need in that car.

the 350 engine has a 4 valve head, is that right? were there any improvements in mileage for the ML350? Is this a 3.7L motor, it isn't a shared engine with Chysler is it? doesn't the Jeep Liberty have a 3.7L V6?

Why does MB want to share parts with Chrysler anyways? I know its to cut cost, but i just don't like the idea that one day a Chrysler will have MB parts. SUX

I'd rather have Mercedes parts in a Chrysler, than Chrysler parts in a Mercedes.
Regarding the 3.7 - my guess is that it's based on the current 3.2 MB V6, not the Jeep's V6.

Yeah, I checked and it is the 3 valve/cyl twin-spark design just like all the others. Its good that they did not use that inefficient 2 valve/cyl Jeep engine.

Don't quote me on this, and I don't understand it myself, but I have heard that by next year, the 350 will be an actual 3.5L, and this is why the new ML is not called ML370. They wouldn't want to go up to this and then back down to 350. That wouldn't help sales. However, I can't see the reasoning behind having a 3.7 for half a year and then changing engines again. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
