WOW...okay so i guess i'm about midway of the chain of loaner cars. My dealer gave me (twice as of today) 2003 Camry LEs. They're I guess fully loaded in terms of all power, CD player, and power driver seat. I hate the camry seat though....its uncomfortable as heck no matter how I adjust it. I just wish it was like my Audi dealers...where u get A4 quattros :-)

I may go to a dealer about 45min from here (MB North) I hear they give MBs for loaners........RIGHT BAGWELL?!

I got a land rover freelander. How bad is that? Anytime I drive that car I feel like my car's been lifted in the air. It feels sooo weird. I got an slk loaner once though. Couldn't protest about that.

They used to give me Subaru Legacy with over 50000 Miles and VW Passat, but nowadays starting to give me 01 Mercury Sable 45000 Miles or 02 Ford Taurus 15000 Miles... and to get one of those, I have to setup the appointment about 2-3 weeks ahead of time...
They best one I ever had was 98 C230K back in 2000.

This is an odd question but u dont happen to look really hot do you? b/c (not to stereotype and be a sexist), but if u look really good most men working at the dealer will hook you up with whatever car they can regardless of what MB u drive (or maybe not even an MB.....again depending on how u look).

I have had a couple different loaners 03 240's but in the past I have had 02 E320 and 01-02 ML320. My dealer has been giving me a loaner since I bought my first Mercedes when I turned 18 and that was almost 3 years ago. I don't know if it makes a difference with the younger people if your parents bought the car or you did.

none. you have to pay to get a rental MB.

Otherwise, you get driven back to home/work/mall by the courtesy car (ML350)

C230K Coupe/Orion/C4/C5/CD/AMG Spoiler/V60/TeleAid, 2 MGB's
I've had:
'99 C230 sedan (no Kompressor) auto with MBTex - this car was a dog (1k mile synth.oil change, warranty work)
'01 C240 sedan auto/leather - a little better, sunroof leaked(5k oil change)
'02 E320 4matic sedan, loaded - sweet but large as a barge (10k oil change A Service)
'02 C320 Sport sedan, auto...sweeeeeet! (15k oil change, warranty work) for a weekend!
'03 C230 coupe 1.8 Auto C5 - dirty oyster int., shy on low end oomph and the CD cart was missing(20k B service)
All in all, I cant complain about the service guys. Buy them a box of Dunkin's and they take very good care of you.

I'm young also, but have never had a problem. Once they gave me a Grand Am that left a huge dirt stripe on the front of my shirt from the dirty seatbelt. Ever since, they give me demos (they don't have a fleet of loaners yet). It might help that we've put a ton of business through them and I'm friends with some of the guys that work there!

In response to the young kid, enterprise will rent to anyone 18 or older. Usually get crappy cars like Focus or Neon, but it's better than walkin!

I've had an ML320 and an E320. Both were so filthy inside and out; it was a poor reflection on the dealer. The E320 even had its spare tire on and the trunk was unusable b/c it contained the flat tire/rim.

That would be Firemist, not Bordeaux.

Sorry, I just wanted to correct you, since you're usually the smartest on here and correcting others. :p

Man I need to go to another dealer JUST so I can get (hopefully) an MB loaner (its 45min away from me). Either that or grow hair in some places, shave some in others, get a boob job, and try to get an MB loaner from my current one

Ah, I have never shopped for an SLK so I just assumed the color names are the same across models. Thanks though :p

Yeah, the two colors look very similar. Firemist is actually a nicer color, at least for a convertible. Bordeaux would probably look funny on an SLK. For W208's, CLK coupes come in Bordeaux, and cabs are Firemist. I don't think there are any exceptions to that, but I could be wrong. Then, CL's come in Bordeaux only (I think), while SL's come in Firemist. An old body style SL in Firemist with Sport Package is a very nice looking car.

Took my MB in last week for Service A -- had made the appointment about three weeks earlier -- to assure a Mercedes loaner. Otherwise you get the pick of the litter at Enterprise. I drove away in a '03 E320. A beautiful vehicle but I was so glad to get the C230K back at the end of the day. Got a free state safety inspection as well.
