has anyone found a staggered 18 inch (8.5/9.5) setup for the replica Monoblock VI? The only ones I've seen are on 4mymercedes.com and they're a lil bit expensive for the replicas. All the ones I've seen are 18x8.5, including the Movens if anyone's seen 18x9.5 replicas, please let me know, thanks!

i envy you and all the others who can afford authentic brabus, lorinser, hre, etc. wheels. but for me personally, i really like the look of the brabus mb vi's over any of the amg wheels.... so spending $750 on cheap asian brabus replicas makes more sense to me then buying legit amg's that i don't really like.... and it also makes it feasible for me to make other mods to my car. thats my 2 cents.

How the quote should have read

Quote: Forgive me for being an A$$hole or just stupid, but I do not understand why people buy replicas instead of spending four times more for the real thing.
For the same price of crappy Asian brabus Replicas you can get a set of legit AMG wheels. You might not like them but they will be legit in my eyes and thats all that matters.
I will get real Brabus wheels if you care to pay the difference

I just don't really like the whole knock off business period, and I have friends at Brabus NA who feel the same way.

When I had **** Star clothing, I went to Asia and saw whole plants knocking us off and every other action sport company.

Now I have Teck and am subject to all the media piracy.

We spend 10's of thousands on legal fee suing people for trademark infringment.

Thats why I say get the real thing.

What about life before Teck, and **** Star Clothing, If you were able to buy top of the line Original anything from day one of your life, Congrats. Some of us have to work our way up.

As for the pity pot song and dance about legal fees for infringment, Get use to it. As long as there is a gap between the haves and have nots, someone will try and bridge that gap. Thank god for replica wheels. BBS got smart and partnered with ASA to bridge the gap in price.

Whatever dude...think about safty too..
I would not put any cheap replica on Mercedes just for looks.

It's ppl like you who think "becuase I am a have-not, I can ripp someone off"
that really hurt the indusrty.

The last time I checked anyone who could afford a BNZ was not a have-not either.

I agree, safety is #1. I dont think someone would put something on their car knowing that it is unsafe
And it is not the consumer who hurt the industry, but the industry failing to account for the population who was not their target consumer!

Drew, I edited my idiot comment, it's not the consumers fault as much as it is the US distributors fault, they make false claims about the products and ripp off companies down to the wheels caps.

Wheels are like fashion, everyone kind of knocks each other off.

It would be better if knock off companies changed the style of their wheels a little and called them something different than the original name.
They also need to disclose testing and approvals for US consumers.
Some do claim to disclose these things, but I have never heard of a knock off company testing at Buttonwillow on high performance cars.

I have been at Brabus NA when customers pull up with knock offs and they don't even know they are knock offs. They think they are real.

One guy in a Cl55 was owned right in front off me, He pulled into Brabus, went inside and asked for what other Brabus products they had for the CL. He just bought the car an hour before comming into Brabus. He was very excited. He said he already had wheels that came on his car from the dealer.
We went out and looked at his car, he had fake V1's. When Brabus told him that, he got really pissed and drove back to the dealer..
Total Ownage..

I agree with everything you said 100%.
No one likes to get owned when they thought they bought the real thing.
It was foul of you to make your statement that started this debate. I am 100% sure that every member here would buy the real thing if it was in their budget.

Thats because Jerry is a reseller. He buys them + shipping + profit = resell. I know. Because when I looked I saw them on his site first and got a price. Doing a little searching and I found them several $100s cheaper than going through him. Funny part of this; when I talked to the salesguy he thought I was Jerry. I told him I wasn't and I still got them cheaper. LOL

But it also doesn't mean that we throw money out the window.

Where is Wiedermann when we need him to balance the dark side.
