ytd, while testing wires in the light cluster i was amazed i couldn't find a positive wire from the moonroof motor - i thought for sure that was the easiest thing to tap into

Wiring to the rear fuse block is a snap. Plus, you don't have to splice into any wires. (BTW, I did not find any switchable circuits under the hood in my sedan.)
Ground the negative wire to the Inst. Panel fuse block mount and run the Positive to the trunk along the carpeting/door sill. Use a credit card to push the wire under the plastic door sill. Any automotive parts store carries "spade lug" crimp connectors (use the male half) suitable for adapting as the plug that fits into the #7 slot (sometimes #6 is also available).

i sent u mail - got a pretty good reference who says simply no choice but the #7 fuse in the rear fuse box or the cigarette lighter up front
You just have to get a test light and test all the fuses when the key is on and then when it is off to see what goes off with the key. There is nothing in the dash side fuse box, but I think there were at least one or two under the hood.
