Angry Sedan backseat cover

I ordered my cover in JAVA from Fletcher Jones in CA. When I got it the color was way off but the P/N was correct. Compared to the color swatches in the C-class brochure it looked like 'OYSTER'. They of course they told me that it would never be a perfect match. But this far off? MB was of no help and I returned it to them to look at and exchange.

My question is this.
Does anybody on here have this cover, preferable in java, and how close is the match? A little off is OK by me but not that much.

P.S.
MB did call FJ and me and told me that these covers were made in the US but that they couldn't help me due to the color being that way off. Don't they give specs to their suppliers? Who is that anyway?

If you don’t like their color match have, have it custom made. If MB is telling you that it is made in the US and they can't help, it is probably due to the fact that they don't even make it at all, they sub it out to a small company. If you have it custom made the color will match perfect. Anybody that tells you they can't achieve 100% is not doing their job 100%.

I don't think i would qualify 'oyster' as anywhere near a match for 'java'. That would be like saying 'olive drab' is a match for 'beige'.

have it custom made.
Cost consideration unless I get donations.

I believe it more that they don't want to unless more people let them know that their specs are being misinterpreted.

I agree and that is why I posted my question on here in hopes that somebody has one in my color and can talk to me about it.

You are missing the question of this thread.

Do you have this cover and speak intelligently regarding its color match?

I doubt it judging from the number of posts you have. Why don't you go to the dealer and compare. That way you know what I am talking about and can give a valuable answer to this thread.
