Finally got some snow for my coupe...and I still love it

Hey, not exactly a discussion starter here, but just thought I'd chime in since I haven't been around much lately...let's just say '02 wasn't my year...well, I did buy the coupe, it's a definite pro, but the year as a whole could have been better.

Anyway, my biggest concern with this car is the whole RWD thing. Since I've only driven FWD cars all my life (albeit 11 years of driving since I'm only 25, but still...those were a lot of miles in those short years) I was worried how I'd handle the MI weather since it's always so nice and chilly here. Anyway, finally got some time in an abandoned parking lot (Thanks K-Mart, seems they're always empty now) and played around before I went out into the real world...let's just say I think this car handles the snow so much better than anything else I've driven before, not to mention I feel a lot more in control in it. Not only that but I'm even happier w/ the purchase now...only wish it had the 4-matic, but hey...leaves me plenty of room for an upgrade in a few years (months?). Well, just thought I'd say hi...and can't believe I missed all the news about the C230 Sedan and the new C320 Sedan...I think I may have to rethink my next car to drool over for a while!

later,
dave

Oh yeah, 7500 miles and 8 months strong and only problem was that they wanted 1200 for the CD changer when I bought it...

It's not the car, it's the hi-performance summer tires. They are worthless in the snow. Put a set of decent winter tires - you'll be amazed at the difference.

Get a set of four snow tires. If you live in MI and don't have snow tires you're asking for problems not necessarily from getting started but in terms of losing control. The summer tires on the C7 package are not designed for snow. Consequently, they do not work in the snow.....at all!
