'05 C230K engine noise over 3000rpm
Hi all,
I have a 2005 c230 kompressor, and some weird noise started to come out from the enigne in the last couple of days. I've had the car for about 1.5 years, and this is the first time it's done that.
When I'm accelerating pass 3000rpm, the exhaust note becomes deeper and louder, the noise was loud enough that I can hear it even with the windows closed and the radio on. Initially I thought it was some civic with modded exhaust trying to accelerate behind me, but later found out the noise actually came from the car. And this happen in the middle of the day, after I've driven probably more than 80km (so it's not a because of engine cold start).
Has anyone experienced the same problem before? Could this be an indication of the supercharger going bad?
BTW, I did try STFF but did not find anything that describe the same scenario. Thanks for your help!
