Thinking about changing Fuel Filter
Just wondering when a good time to change a fuel filter on a c320. I believe when i looked under my car its kinda by the driver side rear wheel. and if that was it.. it looked kinda old.. anyways Is it a hard job? Something worth doing with no warranty?
What kind of issues will you have to know its time to change a fuel filter? I don't know if it was changed before i bought the car. Im about to hit 80k within 600 miles. The car idles smooth now that i added the chevron with techron. Sometimes i forget that the cars on. Well Just wondering when a good time would be to change the filter.
Thanks
Kris
You should do it every 60k.
Be sure you have new fuel line clamps when you do it. Open up the gas cap first. When you finish - before you start the car for the first time turn the key to the position as far as you can w/o turning it on. This allows the fuel pump to fill the lines, I believe. There is a good DIY on install university.
Good luck.

The search button is your friend.
The only weird part is prying off the old clamps. I got hung up on that.
I'd never seen clamps like that. I prefer doing one hose at a time so I don't get confused.
Clamping minimizes the amount of air getting into the line and the chances of of getting a CEL.
See my post....
