Changing the Ballasts on the Bi-Xenons

So the driver side of my bi-xenons takes a few seconds to ignite when the lights get turned on. My passenger side ballast blew out at about 65,000 miles and MB replaced the whole unit under warranty. Now that my extended warranty is done with the driver side is having issues. Can I just change the ballast instead of buying the whole unit? Where can I get one and does anyone know the cost of a ballast? Anyone done this yet? Thanks!
