how to get to the back of the headunit?

how would i get to the back of the headunit? is it necessary that i remove the top ac vents, like on an audio10 install previously posted. i just want to add some wires for a sub and amp.

I guess it would be very hard to add some wires without removing the middle console. Don't you have to know which cables are for the line outs?. Its quite easy actually once you know you how to do it, it may take about 15-30 minutes in your first go. I can do mine in about 5 minutes .

What kind of car are you trying to be this into? Coupe? Does it have BOSE or not? Sedan? This info would help in order to get you better info. Just my $0.02

That's kind of like asking, how do you get to the air filter without opening the hood?! As Bajaiman says, its relatively quick if you use the process followed in the audio 10 install. If there was a faster way I am sure one of the members would have described it.

You do not need to get to the back of the headunit for this. Just use the woofer in the rear decklid to splice them for the converter (for the RCA connector). Then use the fuse box in the trunk left and get a test light and tap that for the remote. Im sure you can figure out the ground and run the power line from the battery.
