Renntech makes one. They may do anouther GB soon I'm not sure. On the Dyno with a temps in the 80's the car maintained a 40 deg C intake temp.

My bad that convertion screws me up every time. At 102 that would be a big drop the delta on the super charger is 125 to 180 depending on the rpm range if I remember corectly, thats ontop of the ambent temp so even on the low end it's droping around 100 deg even without the same air flow you would get at speed.

Thanks, I will be happy with the GB of Renntech intercooler if there is no other choice, and if the price can be similar or lower than the last GB, that will be great..

Suggestion: Why dont we time this GB around income tax refund time so we can get the max # of people. I plan to file mine in Jan but perhaps GB in late Feb or something? I forgot what the GB price was last time but I'd be happy with $800-850 shipped in US.

BEC offers their intercooler for $599.00 list, I've been talking to them and believe we can get the price even lower if we did a GB. What I like about their system is it offers shrouding that forms around the bumper opening that forces air into the intercooler, which would net an increased temp loss while moving, and not hurt at all while at a stand still.

Guys I'm in for any good intercooler kit (hose, clamps, everything) that will fit behind the factory bumper w/o modifications and no serious modifications to factory plumbing as well....just keep the price under $800 shipped and I'm in.

http://www.benzboy.com/ was talking about putting together an intercooler deal, his prices where pretty low, about $500. I was going to go that way but I decided to go with Renntech only because it was convenient.

BEC's intercooler fits behind the stock bumper and requires no serious mods. The only thing that the told me would have to be done, is the two holes for mounting, the stock intercooler uses plastic clips, where theirs is solid mounted.

Post some pics and core dimensions when you get it, It would be interesting to compare this to the Renntech intercooler.

do u guys wanna setup a quick GB. from the sound of response I think we can get at least 5-8 IC kits orders. Someone who ACTUALLY know BEC please see if they will do this and allow us to do individual orders (MBWorld GB or something as alias).

the renntech intercooler did no require any mods to the car either. as for shrouding, simply cut the original shrouding and attach it to the front of the renntech. it fits perfectly. you will need to cut it from fromt to back, but the height is the same and it clips right on.

Good idea Nov0798, it's got to make more sense than tripping over it in my garage every day. Now if I can only find use for the old intercooler, a vase or paperweight. I use the old rear springs as decorations in my office. Great conversation piece. I tell people it's an experimental range extender for my cell phone.

NOV0798, the shrouding that comes stock does almost nothing, the BEC shrouding forms to the bumper and forms to the intercooler. The air has nowhere to go but through the intercooler, rather than the million ways to escape on the stock one, or go anywhere without shrouding, like on the renntech model.

If you've ever seen a ram air hood, notice all the foam used to seal the air so it goes directly into the air box, this is the same idea, the more air forced across the intercooler the more it cools down, and cooler air means MORE POWER.

I'm going to go down to BEC tp take a pic of the unit. If we do a group buy we will get a better price, but even if we don't, I'd rather pay $599 for a better unit, than whatever renntech wants for their inferior product.

the stock plastic does shroud around the bumper inlet. plus at highway speeds it really doesnt matter, i was just getting rid of extra parts
