This thread will document the slow but steady transformation of my car from ordinary MB to something truly unique. Please feel free to comment and make suggestions. It all started like this: I was looking at my car the other day and decided something had to change. I wanted something different. I already put rims and a system in the car, what next? A couple days later I found out one of my rims was cracked. NEW RIM PAINT! So I debated what color combo to go with, finally deciding on a black matte lip and color coded face with chrome rivets and emblem. Here some preliminary pics before I get a chance to wash, wax, etc. I can't decide what to do next:
1) custom dual exit exhaust and black matte vinyl "diffuser" mod along with matte black roof vinyl
2) I'm definitely tinting my windows darker to go with the black theme
3) Should I black out my chrome mouldings to match? If I do, should I leave the grill, hood star and trunk star chrome?
4) Tint my tail lights?
5) I know I need to get my sidemarkers painted or tinted

That's a unique color combo for the wheels

I'd do lowering and custom exhaust next..Do the small stuffs later

Props for being creative. I really like the idea, but it seems a little out of place without more tying it together. Maybe it's just because there isn't any other black on the car. Or maybe reversing the color combo on the wheels, where the lip would be pewter and the face would be black. Either way it's yours and I like the idea.

Thanks for all the support. It is definitely a work in progress. Like I said, let me know what you guys think would look best. I just wanted to get pics up ASAP to show one of the other color combos out there.

Thanks! It sounds almost as good as it looks. I'm gonna try and post better pics and a video as soon as I get the tails finished and get some free time. I like having a different quad setup than most people here...

your car is looking good man... how did you end up doing the piping on your exhaust??

They ended up piping it around the back way. He didn't have a mandrel bender so he routed it the other way. It worked out pretty well, got a great deal too! Thanks again for all the info, it made things a lot easier!

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, I'm trying to decide what to do about a rear trunk spoiler. AMG style? Sport style? Pewter? Flat Black? CF?
