ya man I got an '07 R1...aka simply found something else to dump my money it I guess, lol...replaced all my lines with SS, put in new metal attractive brake fluid resevoirs, painted my rotors to match the gold I painted the calipers on my car, took all the decals off of it, put in some HIDs (which I swear are brighter than my car! which is great since she came with projectors for the low beams anyway) and I gutted my exhaust and de-catted it...

Also went to replace my rotors and pads the other day (since noone in my area can grind x-drilled rotors apparently), so I ordered some EBC rotors for the front from amazon because EBC said this particular rotor wouldnt fit my car. So I call them and ask them why 3 different vendors online said this model would fit my car but they're site doesn't, he asked me for the part number and then exclaimed that their website is wrong and it would fit my car. So what did i do? I went ahead and bought them from the cheaper vendor...

Low and behold I spent an hour alone just trying to get the old calipers and rotors off, since the damn things were frozen stiff, and put on the new rotors, all greased up with anti-seize, go to put on the calipers and notice that their remained about an inch gap of free space between the back of the caliper and the end of the rotor, lol...so i pull it off and put it on top of the rotor i took off an sure enough, its about an inch in radius smaller!!!!! FML

Luckily I was able to come across a rubber mallet to get my rotors off so i didnt damage them too bad and was able to put them back on and luckily I only got one rotor off before I moved on to the next, haha

How much those stoptechs put you back by the way? like 4-6k for the whole set, rotors, pads and all?

not too many problems really, just have to drive right. Angles on driveways and watching the road for potholes and debris. Been doing it since i was 16, even when i drive a regular height car/truck, i still angle on driveways without even thinking about it

Thanks Phil, Yeah i got it to work, it was basically plug and play. I think if you use the latest model digital climate control, i believe it was made for the 06-07 car you should be fine...

Looks good. Also, your car looks good with chicks on it, reminds me of the days of Whitesnake and when the video Here I go Again came out and Tawny Kittaen was dancing on top of David Coverdale's car (lol not sure if everybody follows me on this one)

they are the muteki sr48 lug nuts in gold. I did the lug conversion couple years ago. I used to run red work lug nuts, but really wanted extended open ended lugs.

ROLLNNN - when you removed the clear bra, did it affect the paint any? things such as discoloration and such? And do you plan on installing another clear bra?

I've had mine on for 2 years and it's been definitely worth the money since I do A LOT of road trips in state, out of state and cross country.

No there were no affects on the paint whatsoever. It was actually a great protectant, it looked brand new. The color matched up well. There were a few parts where debris hit the bra and went through the bra and chipped the paint. When looking at the bra, these parts were kinda dark, after taking the bra off, it looked like a normal paint chip.

I do not plan on putting another clear bra on. As many times as that thing has saved me, i dont really like how it turned yellow, also the scratches in it look really bad. But who knows, in a couple years i might be sorry i didnt...

for me its just looks, you can run tuner lugs with aftermarket wheels:

and they make it easier to put your wheels back on... not sure if there are any real reasons other than that...
