Sticky e-brake pedal - broken spring

According to another thread, the fix to a sticky e-brake pedal (that won't rise back up) is to spray the assembly with WD40 to lubricate it.

Mine was so rusted that the spring has rusted through and broken. So it applies no pressure to the assembly to release the brake.

Does anyone have WIS (not a US resident, so please don't direct me at the free site) to lookup the e-brake assembly and post an exploded view so I can see how hard it will be to replace this spring.

The assembly is the one under the rear seat where you tighten the e-brake.

Most years/models seem affected by this, so I assume the assembly is the same.

I downgraded to a VW, it's still German though
I had the same problem. I just didn't bother fixing it. This is all I could find.

Remove/Install

1 Remove cover panel below rear seat cushion
2 Loosen adjusting nut (8) at slack adjuster
3 Remove cover below instrument panel
4 Remove cover (71a) of pedal assembly (71)
5 Detach brake cable (85) from tensioning shackle on parking brake pedal (75)
6 Detach pedal assembly (71)
7 Unplug connector at parking brake indicator switch (S12)
NOTE: Raise pedal assembly (71) slightly to do this.
8 Detach release cable (79) at the pedal assembly (71)
NOTE: On pedal assembly (71) with friction brake, detach release cable (79) at pedal assembly (71) using tool (010).
9 Remove pedal assembly (71)
CAUTION: Do not loosen torx bolts on back of pedal assembly (71) otherwise the pedal assembly (71) will be damaged beyond repair.
10 Install in the reverse order

Inspecting
11 Check version of pedal assembly (71)
12 Adjust parking brake.

Thanks!

Its part #89 that's the problem and I noticed its not shown exploded, so maybe it comes as a unit.

On the top left of part #89 pictured above, there is a tension spring with a piece that sticks visable in the diagram. Its that spring that broke.

I'm moving somewhere with hills, so I need to fix this.

Thanks for posting the diagrams!

I found this schematic for a C230K Coupe parking brake.
Don't know the difference on the above schematics, but thought I'd throw it in here for posterity's sake. The parts look a bit different.
So I'm not sure if these are superceded parts, or maybe differences between W203 and CL203 models.
