---BRABUS W203/CL203 Thread---

ok guys....
no need to anyone to get into a he said she said debate here, i think i may just be asking for myself and maybe others here on the board regarding the puddle lights. as previously inquired, my questions weren't answered. i think we would all like to know more about what is offered, by whom, installation, etc. before we drop some money on this fancy little accessory. thanks again.

sorry for that....
as for the unit itself, yes you have to drill a hole, the reason being there are clips on the side of the unit which click into place once you put it through the hole. making it hold pretty well....
as for a protection for the l.e.d., i am pretty sure they can hold up pretty damn well. it looks pretty well sealed to me and im pretty sure its water resistant. (NOT water PROOF)
as for install, it can be done by almost anyone who knows what they are doing. i am letting my body shop do my install. it just takes time to run wires because obviously you want them hidden well.

Brabus Confirmation.....
another post about these......i just spoke to Andreas over at Brabus Newport Beach...
BRABUS North America Inc.
4040 Campus Drive
92660 CA Newport Beach / USA
phone 001 / 949 / 7970177
Currently Brabus does not offer any puddle lights for the W203 models and there are no future plans for them. They are only offering them on the SL, S, E, CLS, and SLK models. The SL and S and CLS are offered only with the sideskirts. The CLS is offered individually, meaning no sideskirt but only the LED's.
Prices are SL : $2125 unpainted skirt with LED
S : $1825 unpainted skirt with LED
E : $1600 unpainted skirt with LED
Individual LED being sold for the CLS is 5 for $400 which is one set. Drilling is how Brabus connects the puddle lights if you dont purchase the sideskirts. I hope this helps with any confusions regarding what Brabus does. Andreas states that he is the only salesman there what is dealing with these puddle lights. Good luck guys.

my l.e.d.s are units just like they sell separately like the cls. all the units are they same except they predrill it into the S and E.
and as for the w203, i still stnad by what i said, i went down there to brabus in newport and i asked them and they said they could do it.
they are charing $800 while mines is only $325, great deal still in my opinion.
ok i dont think this really proves anything but the part # for a S class is 220-351-02....
the problem is that the part # charges for everycar. but if that makes you happy theres the part #.

I believe those are Brabus look-a-like puddle lights, they are NOT the REAL kit offered by Brabus. If so, maybe a part number will help. Or someone can probably call up Brabus and verify.
Brabus puddle lights also have a distinct white color + circle solidity when lit on the ground that is very very hard to replicate. My shop sells the fake LEDs from every japanese maker you could possibly think of, and none of them even come close.
Definitely going to get me some of these from you.

I don't really care whether people are buying from me. If "Wide w203" is selling at a lower price, I would recommend people to buy from him. I have absolutely no problem with that. He is selling to make some pocket money, I have a small business to run. Our unit cost is very different. Although the ones that I am selling are identical to the Brabus ones, I wouldnt want to make that claim. I will only say they are 99.99% similar.

If someone is selling the GENUINE AUTHENTIC Brabus puddle lights on his own, I am sure Brabus will be VERY unhappy and interested to find out who sneaked out those parts.

SO why are there K8 body kits on non-Brabus K8 engine cars? Same reason I'm guessing for these LEDs. Besides, I don't know what the argument is all about, I've already compared the pics posted by Wide203 with actual original Brabus LED/sideskirts off an S-Class, and everything is identical, down to the wiring.
There is no doubt in my mind that these are AUTHENTIC Brabus Issue.

ok please i just want to get rid of these, i dont have many.
btw: just because i am marketing it for the w203 does not mean i am saying they are for the w203.
as i said before brabus uses the same unit for every one of there cars.
keep in mind the units come in 2 sets of 5 with a total of 10 units.
i only have a very few left, so this subjuect can be dropped very soon.

Hey, I don't care what you sell. Its fine by me, I'm just expecting the mods to pounce on this eventually, like they do to everyone else who sells something without being a sponsor.

you would never see it while it was driving unless they opened the door. its hooked up to the dome light, only turns on when doors are open. cant compare brabus LED's to some neons.
