I didn't know that Brabus even made side skirts. I thought it was just a front and rear bumper anyway.

I don't think it'll look out of place at all. The w203's (regardless of which version) have side skirts and rear lips already, so to add the Brabus front bumper will not be that obtrusive to the lines of the car (especially because it doesn't hang much lower than the front add-ons that the car has to the stock front bumper. In essence, what it'll do is change the look of the front bumper while adding a piece of fiberglass where there is normally a gap between the front two stock add-ons.

Awesome!! This really is exciting! I can afford the 1200 for the front bumper so I'll start saving right away. The whole kit would've been much much more. Sounds cool.

Why not just go with that new "custom" kit that Europassion is offering. It's less than the actual Brabus kit for the w203, but you also get the dual foglights and will have the remainder of money you wou'dve spent on the actual Brabus bumper to paint and install also.

It's funny that you mention the Eisenmann exhaust system. I just recieved an email from my mod guy and he recommended them for cat-back systems. He went on to say that Supersprint builds a ton of full systems for euro cars as well but told me that he does not see the point in installing an exhaust system if I wasn't making more power to require the additional flow. His recommendation is to get a boost kit first, wait for the headers that Kleemann is working on and then consider an exhaust.

This now takes me back to square one with the Kleemann Engine Performance Kit for around $2100 w/o installation, $2350 full for 15 extra horses. The good news is that Kleemann is developing headers for the M271, but how much longer are we going to have to wait?

You could get a port & polish job done on the engine. Port and polish the intake ports and exhaust ports, polish the exhaust ports and combustion chamber to reduce carbon buildup, port match the intake manifolds. That would effectively improve flow rates, especially in conjunction with a good cat back exhaust system. A basic port and polish job would cost half as much as the Kleeman overboost kits as well. I'd rather not overboost a supercharger or place larger crankshaft pulleys on because of possible reduced life expectancy. Don't want to have to replace a supercharger.....

Sorry, but it will NOT fit on a 2005 coupe, since the bumper is different, only the 2002-2004.

take a picture of it and we can tell you if it's real of fake.

W203/R171 shift knob fits both manual or auto.

R171 shift-knob. same one in my car.

there's two part numbers for auto and manual, but they are the same thing. It is very tight, you'll have to use some force to get it down.

I replaced the shift knob on my 6-spd last year. Easy job, but kind of screwed up the boot by cutting too much of it, which made it extremely tough to tuck in to make it neat.

Anyway, I was wondering...
In the pictures it shows some wires. What would they be for? Automatic, I assume?

The shift knob lights up....the wire is for power
