suspension question
I would like to modify the suspension on my 2001 C240 - 17" wheels. Would like to stiffen it up a bit, but would like to try to keep the same factory ride height.
Does anyone have recommendations?
Option 1. change both springs and dampers
Option 2. change springs only
Option 3. change dampers only
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello....
I've never modified an MB suspension but have made many suspension changes to other cars I've owned.
Given that you want to (only) "stiffen up the suspension a bit", I'd suggest fresh shocks (Koni's, etc..), larger (+3-5mm) sway bars, and larger tires. That would keep your car quite "streetable" (comfortable) while heightening the handling.
If that's not enough, then go with new springs and wheels/tires, etc..
