Unhappy Remote problems

Hi guys,
It's been 2 days now that I can't open or close my C180 from a distance with the remote. It only works when I point directly to the IR port at the drivers side.
I've been searching around but didn't really find an answer to my problem here.
Can you help me??

Does not seem like an easy fix from the sound of things. When I had problems with mine they had to replace the whole drivers door lock mechanism. Thankfully it was still under warranty.
Yours is definitely not the battery so I hope you have warranty also.

why would it not be the battery? he says it works, but only up close. to me, a weak battery wouldn't send the signal as far. hence- it only working from relatively close.

Not necessarily because there are two ways of unlocking our doors...one is the FM wave for long distance and the other is the infrared on the passenger door and driver door so that is why it is working up close. Mine isn't working from long distance anymore either so thats why I know...i have to walk up to the drivers side or passenger side to unlock with key using the infrared.
