test fit correction photos.

Ok here you can see the rear bumper fits beautifully, and it's only held on by tape and a jack stand.

Our front bumper is where we needed to make corrections. I circled the points where we needed to cut to bring the bumper into specs. The bumper in this pic is just hanging on it's not bolted up so fitment is good now after the corrections.

Don't have a pic on the side skirts but they were good to go.

HellsAngel, we do initial test fits when the parts first come in. If they pass our inspection then we start selling them. However all these parts are hand made and it's possible they were pulled from a mold too fast or there is an error in the manufacturing process. So when something like this happens we send a corrected bumper to ensure that our bumpers are made at the fitment level we are satisfied with.

We have a lot of ongoing projects, if someone would like more pictures I have a few more pics of this test fit session but the pictures I chose and put on this site best depict the corrections and fitment.

2003 C32 AMG
I'm just wondering if these products have been corrected, or does your normal customer need to cut their bumpers to fit them? Since these pictures were just recently posted, it seems that many of the parts in the wild might experience this problem!

I have a 2003 C32 amg which was recently hit Luckily it was mostly cosmetic in nature, but they hit the bumper/fender/hood/lights, so they all need replacing. Nothing structural! I was thinking of doing some of the repairs myself and replacing the parts with aftermarket. Although I don't want to get into a situation where I'm trying to do massive body work and cutting new parts to fit!

I just bought the morello kit and the front bumper wasn't a perfect fit. The front bumper didn't need to be cut but I had to put lots of force to mount the front kit on. The back bumper hasn't been put on yet but from the picture above, the back bumper looks perfect. My car is in the shop right now and i'll let you know how it goes if you would like?

not very if you are Brabus, Carlsson, AMG, Lorinser, MH Dezent, Expression, Kleemann....etc. who am I missing?

bumpers made from process in this discussion usually not great in fitment. there is a reason why my carlsson-style CF trunk spoiler doesn't fit as well as the original.

Does anyone know if the front bumper has to be cut to fit? What exactly does that entail? I was looking at purchasing a used kit from someone, but cutting + force looks like a deal breaker. Also there was no mention if the front reinforcement bar could be used?

Our pieces from the updated mold should be coming in soon, for anyone out there that has an unmodified morello bumper you can always do a fitment case with us no matter the time frame. Just so long as you yourself purchased the kit from us.

the thing is these are hand laid fiberglass parts so a lot of time shops would make minor alterations and we'd never hear about the fitment problem. So the bumpers were workable and if you had an old version it's very possible that it would fit with just a little work. However since they are hand laid it's possible some were so far out of spec they are defective. So if you have an unaltered old version of the bumper and it's not fitting correctly all you have to do is give us a call.

Hand laid doesn't mean they are coming out of the mold differently. They use a mold for a reason. I dig the front and back bumpers but I would like to see how they are going to fit.

You'd actually be suprised, a lot of factors go into laying fiberglass in a mold. Many of which can alter the final fitment of the item. You're right the parts don't come out of the mold differently but they all go in differently, the variation can accidentally occur for example if the glass wasnt pushed in correctly or during the hand trimming once it comes out of the mold.

In short we quality inspect all our parts but we also have a customer service department to make sure we take care of all of you in the event you have a defective piece. So just know in the even you have a part that doesn't fit or there is something else wrong, just give us a call.

I am glad Ducati didn't tell me that replacement CF fairings for my 999R may or may not fit because some guy may have loaded the material in the mold incorrectly.

Maybe I am just use to seeing aftermarket fairings (or body parts) used for real performance increases (or cost savings) and from companies that are \known for making parts that fit right out of the box.
