Mosselman Turbo makes lots of turbo kits for Mercedes cars. www.mosselmanturbo.com They mentioned on their site having a "bi-turbo" setup for 24v v-6 engines. Not sure if this if for your engine. Maybe something to look into.

The biggest benefit will be a faster spool time, since smaller turbos would be best; like a tweaked ct28, or a T-28. something that small will still boost up to 22psi of useful boost, and has a built-in wastegate...space and simplicity should be key in this case.

HP "loss" through turning SC during acceleration is not much different than the "loss" created by exhaust backpressure during turbo spooling. And once you reach cruising speed, the SC realistically only requires about 1/3 HP to turn, since the boost isn't needed at that point. The efficiency of SC and TC (done right) is good enough that HP drain shouldn't be a problem.
