Sirus Radio installation Question/Problem

I have a 2004 C320 4matic Wagon and had sdar unit installed by the dealer and the added a soft key. It sounds great. After I drove it home and activated sirius I turned off the radio. When I restarted the car the prior station started to play even though the radio was off. I couldn't adjust anything until I turned on the power to the radio. However I noticed that prior to turning off the radio if I changed it to Fm then turned off the radio and the car there is no problem. Before I go back to the dealer is this a normal occurence or was the wiring done wrong.
Help!

Interesting. Please let me know the outcome as i will be doing an install of the SDARs equipment myself here in the near future. I am hoping the dealer will version code the unit to the system even though they are not doing the install. Does anyone know if a good independent shop can perform the version coding or is it stricly dealer only? Thanks, Greg

Update

I talked to the tech on friday who installed the unit, he said he had never seen this problem before bu the also said that I did not have a COMMAND radio and that he had only added SDARS units to COMMAND systems and not the other radios. He agrees that it is probable a version code issue and he needed to call MB and find out. He said he'll call me on moday 12/1 and see if he can get my this issue resolved. PS: Dealer had the car 4 days, they had to keep ordering parts. So make sure they have the right part. They used a smaller upddated antenna which looks great. Cost was $1154 total after 10% they took off for the delay. I'll keep you posted after unit works as it should.

THANKS FOR THE REPLIES!
