I hear a lot about Steve and COMAND

Guys,

attached below is a posting that is pretty self explanatory, having read your notes on the retrofit of a COMAND unit, given that i wish to connect a Dension DMP3 via the Analogue can anyone confirm that it will talk to the Bose speaker upgrade, eg has any got the same set up and done it with a IPOD for example!!

i wait in anticipation!

"i am hoping you can help, i have recently taken delivery of a new
Mercedes CLK and i have had the Bose speaker upgrade, after a weekend
of investigation i have discovered that i have the following: -

a Becker BE 6021 Head unit
Bose Speaker upgrade
a Fibre optic connection (D2B) between head and amp / DSP

what i want to do is add my Dension DMP3 jukebox to my system but i
have discovered that the only upgrade option is the optically
connected CD changer!!!

if you have not already guessed, my question is can anyone advise what
the options would be for connecting the Dension to the Head unit via
some sort of D to A convertor and allowing the head unit to think
there is a changer connected. for those of you that do not know, the
Dension has its own satellite / control unit so it is not important to
control from the head or the steering wheel, all i need to do is
'fool' the head into thinking it is a changer connected and get the
sound into the unit.

so what do you think? i do not want to re wire and if possible i do
not want to buy another head unit (my options are limited because of
the D2B connection)

i hope you can help."

regards
