MBUSA Updated for C Class

MBUSA now has pricing for the C230 K Sport Sedan, C320 Sport Sedan and C320 Sport Coupe. The Coupe is $2500 more than the C230 Coupe and only has the engine update. The C320 Sport Sedan is the same price as the regular C320 with the addition of 17 inch wheels and the suspension changes.

It's about time, now let's hope all the pricing sites get updated quickly so we can get invoice prices.

To get invoice prices, multiply the MSRP by .93.

Lynn, are you saying that there's a 7% bump up from invoice? If so, you divide by 1.07, and you don't multiply by .93. Slightly different answers.

I was going through the options, and it looks like there's no ccoupe stand-alone leather option anymore. Anyone know if that's true? Seems like a crappy way to force people into the C5 option, if you can't do it stand-alone. Of course, that might encourage more people to go the aftermarket route as well, and get some more "interesting" cow options in there.

2003 MB C230 coupe
i just built my C230 in a C320 instead. all the options and accessories exactly the same and there was a difference of $3922!!! on the MSRP. a bit too pricey for me. that makes me feel better. if the price would have been closer, i would have been kicking myself. i like the new wood trim steering wheel though. wish they offered it on the C230 in the 3-spoke design. love my car.

EDIT: check that, the difference is $2482. for some reason if you choose leather and C5, it charges you for leather two times. now i'm almost kicking myself, but my boot aint quite reaching my ***. close but no cigar.

invoice pricing

Mercedes MSRP refects 7% gross profit margin, not a 7% markup. Therefore, invoice would equal 93% of MSRP. Destination charge has no profit. Subtract the destination charge before multiplying by 93% and then add the destination charge back on to get the correct invoice cost.

You can do it as a stand-alone. I'm not sure what the website says, but I'm 100% sure that you can do it. It's $1440 for leather.

By the way - that C230 Sport Sedan looks like a great deal...much better deal than the C240. Finally some decent competition for the 325i. I just wish the W203's were lowered from the factory.

C240 - 6 speed
I don't see a huge difference in the way C240 and C230 sedans look. Are there any pictures of the C230 Sedan.

Also, I don't think you will see a C230 Sedan competing well with 325i simply due to smoothness of the inline-6 vs the blown I-4.

Personally, MB should have upped the horsepower of the 2.6L V6 to 190 or so and then that would be good competition.

BMW engines are smooth, but the new 1.8L is also very smooth. I am just fine with having an I-4 and mine isn't even the 1.8.

And there is more a difference between the 230 and 240 if you see them in person. It looks pretty good. I would take the 230 even if they made a 240 with 190hp.
