I was thinking about doing this as well, only just wrapping it with vinyl over the chrome.
IMO, it's the easiest way and it's reversible if i don't like it.

In for part #s if anybody has them... Right now mine are wrapped in black vinyl but I'd love to replace them altogether.

Paypaboi, is your trim black? I'll trade you (mine are chrome), if somebody can explain how to remove the pieces.

It'd be good to have the part numbers. For whenever mine are bad.

That comes to a total of $828.59 (this includes 8% sales tax). This is just the price for all the parts, there of course would be more for the installation.

I wouldnt mess with it unless you have ALOT of experience with that kind of stuff. I may be wrong it may be an easy task, but I highly doubt that.

So all that trim isn't held on by an adhesive or anything?

It's all just clips. Same goes for the long windshield trim piece. It takes a bit of force, so use a towel to not damage the paint as you pry it.

Vinyl is so much cheaper to do, lol.

^^^$800 for brand new trim under windows (without chrome), the small vertical strip on the rear window, and the trim that runs along the roof. Those are the pieces that seem to give people the most trouble with oxidization

Ohhh for oxidization, I thought it was just for the chrome removal, I was like damn that a lot to get rid of the chrome LOL.

I have been religiously waxing the black strips on the doors and roof to prevent any issues, feel good on the Focus I had the door trim was a plastic that faded and always looked bad, these at least can be treated/painted.

hey guys, i bought a roll of vinyl from Advans and have been redoing the trim around the car, does anyone know how to remove the small vertical piece that goes between the rear windows and the small window? i think its like the C pillar or something? (i know B pillars in the middle, so its gotta be either A or C), thats probably faded the worst and i don't want to start prying and crack the windows or anything

Use the ebay CF pillars. That's what I did since no one has given any instructions on how to a ctually pry the c pillar out.

Correction, Drove An '05 C230 Kompressor SS

That Looks simply Amazing!!!
I'm really not willing to Spend $800, However... your post has given me the initiative to wrap my faded strips with Gloss Black High performance Vinyl.

Price tag:
$35 for the Vinyl
$12 For The Corona
$6 for a squeegee, Exact-O knife, and a spray bottle with soapy water mixture.

Welp.... Off to the Garage lol
