Want to buy, but got a few questions...

Hey, COuld someone tell me the major differences between the years of the c230? From 2001-2007.

ALso, would it be possible to put an OEM navigation unit on a vehicle that doesnt have navigation?

Lastly, is there any way to put that "spoiler" that comes on the 2007, but on the 2006?

Thank you guys, as this is my first time on the forum, I may seem like a noob.

Thanks in advance.

a quarter mile at a time
you are a noob.

LOTS of differences between 2001 and 2007. The C230 went through 3 different engines, a facelift (exterior and interior) and even changed the internal signaling bus (D2B to MOST). This is not to mention the small upgrades that happened between each of the years and even half years, most notably the 2004.5. Please clarify what years you're looking at.

Yes you can retrofit Command into a car that dosen't have it.

Yes, easy.

Welcome to the forum.

2005 C230K Sport Sedan, 6 speed manual
A lot of us think the Mercedes W203 improved substantially after 2004.5. So if your budget allows, I would give those models priority. Probably the least desirable of the series is the 2001 model. It had a lot first year glitches.

Engine choices:
1. M111 is a 2.3 liter supercharged four cylinder. It is durable, but a bit coarse.
2. M271 is a 1.8 liter supercharged four cylinder. Power is about the same as the M111, but it is a lot smoother. Early versions could have cylinder head issues.
3. M272 is a 2.5 liter naturally-aspirated V6. This engine began in the 2006 models. It is smooth and quiet, but a bit disappointing in terms of fuel economy and power.

A six-speed manual transmission is a real asset with any of the above engines.

Adding navigation is very possible, but NOT very cheap.

The rear spoiler is available, and will require a trip to your MB parts department.
