Esp Off!
Today for some reason, boredom I guess, I decided to try the same thing. The conditions outside where slightly different 24F and of course now I have a pulley. I have 21000 miles on my coupe and have had the pulley for about 14000. Well the net result was actually more than I expected
. She pulls hard enough now that if you don't counteract soon enough you will find yourself doing the see-saw pretty quickly. Needless to say ESP stays on all the time.Just thought I'd share for those of you who have not pushed your coupe ***** to the walls. How many of you have pushed your coupe?
You do some pretty strange things when you get bored. I hope you can manage to keep your car off the sidewalk next time you have nothing to do.
Burn out with the Courtesy Car... lol

What happened to your car? Why did you need a courtesy car? That clip was taken in Richmond River Road?
I wasn't able to (maybe because it was pouring outside)
See sig. :p
Yo eason, can you PM me or reply on what you did to accomplish that burnout. I wasn't able to (maybe because it was pouring outside) but regardless can you provide step-by-step?
You mean literally? WTF you talking about, I'm just trying to get some tips for technique.
Turn off ESP next time.

Ignore Outland's post. That guy's a sick, sarcastic mother****er. His posts provide no information at all. He gets off on trashing other people's posts.
Now, if you were posting on the topic, I'd expect it go like this:
You want to go complain to the MB service dept that your tech didn't know how to do a proper burnout in a C-Coupe?
Yesssss, I'm being sarcastic.
Cheers!
BTW, Eason, Nice brake stand. Any rubber left on the tires when you got back
The burnout is acutally harder than I though, because the ECU can sense the rear wheels are spinning even with ESP off. Here is how I do it.
1) Turn off ESP.
2)Step on brake with left foot while giving gas with right foot.
(you will feel the rear wheels starts to spin)
3)Here is the important point, when the tires spins to a certain, the ECU will starts to cut the power, then you have to release the brake a little bit. When the ECU senses the front wheel is moving, it will give back the full power. At this point, hold the brake again and smoke will starts to built up... Hope this help...lol
Thanks guys.. The courtesy car only have less then 800km when I got the tire, so the tires are very new..

That's OK with you, isn't it?
I've been sending these "burnout" video links to the Service Manager at M-B in Richmond Auto Mall.
