Amp power wire question

I was wondering how some of you ran your power wire from under the hood to the trunk, i plan on doing an install this weekend, but im not sure, first where to get through the firewall, ( im assuming somewhere under the driver side), then getting it into the trunk, i have a 07 c230, the back seats do not fold down, is there a trick or an easy way to get it into the trunk without issues?

there's a set of holes by the battery where you can run the wires though. A few of the oem wires are already running through. if you take out the lower panel on the passenager side you can see the holes for the firewall.

if you take out the door sill...there's a little funnel area where you can run the wiring..its the same place where the oem wiring is being run through.

There's a fuse block in the trunk - and at least one switched circuit available (empty) - check your owners manual for details and uses a fuse tap to get a hot lead, then ground to any bare metal (there are several sheet metal screws back there)

wait so your saying i dont have to run a power line from the battery to the trunk?? any idea where this hot lead is at, would it require me just connecting a 4 gauge wire to it, or is it more complicated

you can take out the rear passenager pillar seat. its the seat thats on the passenager side thats in between the top seat that folds and the door. you also have to take out the bottom seat. Behind the pillar seat is a hole in the chassis where you can run your wiring.

rick is talking about the rear sam. The rear sam isn't good for running 4 gauge wire, its good if you need a accel or remote wire for your amp.

i took my seats out also- made running all of my patch cables and power wire easier. made the sound deadening process a little easier also. i had the seats out in under an hour- it wasn't that too hard. i wouldn't hook into the sram, in my opinion it's not meant to carry that kind of load.

It's not too bad at all. Of course, I don't have my car with me today, but from memory... (Sorry if this is different than your set up, my car is a 2001). You should see 4 plastic covers in the rear foot wells under the front end of the seat, the bottom portion of the seat. The pop off using a little flat head screwdriver. You should see a tiny hole in which to put the flathead in, once you do that, you press up slightly to pop off the cover. Under the cover is a nut, I can't recall what size it is, it's been a while since I removed my rear seat, but I want to say 13mm. Remove all four of those and you have the bottom seat out. As for the back portion of the seat, I have no idea, I never removed that. Sorry.
